I did not yet have made lists of which commands are correctly done or not in which circumstances since it's probable ShareMouse cannot be used in combination with AHK to start with, so I will have to find/try other tools anyway. Other commands (AHK routines) simply are not run at all, but I also tried to inactivate the AHK script on my non-main-computer, hoping the main-computer AHK script would perhaps take over all the time then, but that's not true, unfortunately. * = Both are Windows computers, but the program files folders are named differently, so even if I run the same AHK script on both computers, the script asks for the computer's name, then triggers the same applications, but with different "run" commands, but for an example, when I press key a for running program x in folder i on my non-main computer, the AHK script of the main computer, on that main computer's screen, pops up an error message that program x in folder i cannot be found, and indeed, on the main computer it would be in folder j, but then, I wanted it to run on (and from) the non-main-computer anyway. When I do so, for many commands / key bindings, the AHK script of my main computer (the one with direct access to mouse and keyboard) takes over, which is a problem since the computers are not similar*, while for others, the respective command in the AHK script of the current computer is triggered, ie the wanted command, ie the command for the computer of which the screen currently has mouse focus, and which for ShareMouse is the "active" one but it is "unpredictable" FOR ME which command is fetched from the local AHK script, and for which command the main-computer-AHK-script takes over "unpredictable" is not the right word since it seems that some commands always are local, other commands always are taken over by the non-local-script, but I cannot see why.

SHAREMOUSE PROBLEMS HOW TO

(There should be some "explanations" how to avoid this, but I didn't understand that stuff.)Įverything works smoothly as long as I don't run my AHK script on BOTH computers (I did not try with three or more). I went to ShareMouse (which for just TWO computers with each just ONE screen has a free version, too) after first trying the free MouseWithoutBorders from "Microsoft Garage", this latter tool works, too, but I did not overcome the problem of it asking you for the respective "security code" of the other computer every time one of the computers' screen went to sleep for some minutes finding and then manually entering the two "security codes" (which change all the time) takes more than one minute every time, so using "MouseWithoutBorders" is a nightmare. The idea is brilliant since if I try to work with several keyboards/mice in such a setting, I always end up with trying to put input with one keyboard which is not the right one, not speaking of the fact that independently of there being enough space or not on the desk, only one of the keyboards can be placed "right", while typing on the other (ones) is really difficult.
